How Can I Control If My Wedding Website is Searchable on Google (and Other Search Engines)?
With Lovebird, your wedding website is set to be discoverable by search engines by default. This ensures that guests who misplace your wedding website URL or acquaintances looking for your registry can easily find it online.
However, we understand the importance of privacy. If you prefer that your wedding website does not appear in search engine results, you can easily adjust this setting. Here’s how to manage your website’s visibility:
How to Disable Search Engine Indexing
- Log in to your Lovebird account and navigate to your dashboard.
- Locate your wedding website and click on “Edit Website.”
- In the left-hand menu of the website editor, select “Settings.”
- Under the Settings menu, click “Privacy.”
- Toggle the switch next to “Let search engines link to your wedding website” to OFF.
- Click “Save” to confirm your changes.
Your wedding website will no longer be indexed by search engines and will not appear in search results once the changes take effect.
If you decide to make your website discoverable again, you can return to these settings and toggle the option back to ON at any time.
