How to Add A Collaborator

There is often more than one person involved in wedding planning. Sometimes both partners are involved. Other times a parent, sibling, friend or wedding planner will assist. This is why Lovebird offers hosts the ability to add a collaborator. When you add a collaborator, you share access to your Lovebird account which makes it easier to manage your wedding website, save the date, invitation, and cards. Here’s everything you need to know about how to add and manage collaborators on your account.


Invite a Collaborator

To invite someone to collaborate on your account:

  1. Navigate to your Account Settings.
  2. Scroll down to the Collaborators section.
  3. Enter the email address of the person you’d like to invite.
  4. Click Invite to Your Account to send the invitation.

Collaborators will receive an invitation email to accept. Once they do, you will receive a confirmation email that your collaborator has accepted.

Important Notes:

  • The account owner will need a paid account to add collaborators. Collaborators do not need to purchase a membership.
  • A collaborator can only assist with one account at a time. If the email provided is associated with another account as a collaborator, you’ll receive an error message.
  • The account owner retains control over all payments and collaborator management.

Once the invitee accepts your invitation, you’ll receive a confirmation email.


Accept a Collaborator Invitation

If you’re invited to collaborate:

  1. Check your email for the invitation.
  2. Click the link in the email.
  3. If you don’t have a Lovebird account, you’ll be prompted to create one.
  4. If you already have an account, you’ll be asked to log in.

Once you accept, you’ll gain full access to the account, including features such as wedding websites, invitations, save-the-dates, and cards.


Managing Collaborators

For Account Owners:

  • To remove a collaborator:
    1. Go to Account Settings.
    2. Scroll down to the Collaborators section.
    3. Click Remove next to the collaborator’s email.


For Collaborators:

  • To remove yourself as a collaborator:
    1. Go to Account Settings.
    2. Locate the Collaborator section.
    3. Click Leave This Account to remove yourself.

Permissions Overview

Account Owners:

  • Add and remove collaborators.
  • Manage account membership and payment information.
  • Retain full control of the account.

Collaborators:

  • Access all account features, including websites, invitations, save the dates, and cards.
  • View the membership and upgrade options but cannot make changes to payment settings.
  • Cannot add or remove other collaborators.
