How to Collect Information from Guests Who RSVP Through Your Wedding Website
Collecting key details from your guests can streamline your planning and ensure your wedding day goes smoothly. Whether you need meal selections, want to accommodate dietary restrictions, or simply gather fun, open-ended responses, your wedding website makes it easy to collect this information directly when guests RSVP.
Decide What Information to Collect
Before sharing your wedding website, think about what details you’ll need from your guests. Some ideas include:
- Meal selections (e.g., “Chicken,” “Fish,” or “Vegetarian”)
- Dietary restrictions or allergies (open-ended question)
- How guests know the couple (e.g., “Friend of [Name],” “Family of [Name]”)
- Additional preferences or requests (e.g., What song would you like the DJ to play?)
Enable RSVP Tracking
- On your dashboard, click “Turn On RSVP Tracking”, which will take you to the RSVP Tracking page.
- Toggle ON “Collect RSVPs on Your Website” at the top of the page.
Add Questions for Guests
- Click “Add Question” on the left-hand side.
- Choose the type of question you’d like to add:
- Multiple Choice: Perfect for meal selections or other predefined options.
- Text Reply: Ideal for open-ended questions (e.g., “Do you have any dietary restrictions or allergies?”, “How do you know the couple?” )
- Drag and reorder questions using the dot grid to the left of each question to ensure they appear in the desired order.
Once guests RSVP “Yes,” they’ll see the questions you’ve added. They can respond for themselves and any plus-ones associated with their party.
After all RSVPs are submitted, you can export this data to a CSV file. To do so:
- Return to the RSVP Tracking page.
- Click “Export” to download a spreadsheet containing guest names, questions, and answers to keep responses organized for easy reference during planning, share meal preferences with your caterer, or track dietary restrictions to inform your venue or chef.
By enabling RSVP tracking and customizing your questions, you’ll have all the details you need to create an unforgettable day for you and your guests!
