How to Send Digital Cards

At Lovebird, we understand that there are many touch points with wedding guests from engagement announcements to thank you cards. We consider these to be two different types of Digital Cards. To send a Digital Card on Lovebird — either a Thank You card or an Engagement Announcement, follow these instructions:

Step 1: Choose a Design

Select a design from our extensive collection of digital Thank You Cards and digital Engagement Announcement Cards.

Step 2: Customize Your Card

• Personalize the interior of your card (note: only select designs allow exterior customization).
• Click “Personalize Design” and edit the text by selecting the “Edit Message” bubble, highlighting the text you wish to change, and adjusting the message, font style, font size, color, and spacing.
• Once you have completed your customizations, click Continue.

Step 3: Personalize the Envelope

• Navigate to the “Envelope” section. Here, you will find three black bubbles to further customize your card:
  • Change Envelope Liner
  • Change Postage: Choose from a selection of stamps or upload your own image if desired.
  • Change Rubber Stamp: Note that guest names cannot currently be added.
• After completing your envelope customizations, click Save and Continue.

Step 4: Add Recipients

Enter the names, email addresses, or phone numbers of your recipients (text eCards are available for mobile delivery). For more advanced recipient management options, refer to our detailed guide here. Once the list is complete, select Continue.

Step 5: Review and Send

• Double-check the card design, recipient list, and email subject.
• Choose your preferred options to:
  • Receive an email notification when the card is opened.
  • Receive a digital sample copy of the sent card.
• Decide whether to send the card immediately (Send Now) or schedule it for a specific date and time (Send Later).

After Sending:

Access the Cards Dashboard to manage and track your cards. Next to the “View” button (accessible via the three-dot menu), you can:

• Resend the card or add additional recipients.
• Edit the card.
• Create a copy of the card.
• Delete the card.
